The lockback's blade locking mechanism is a refinement of the slipjoint which is designed to incorporate a hook or lug on the backspring. It then snaps into a notch on the blade's heel when the blade is fully opened, locking the blade into position. The Hunt For Life™ Urban Frontier Damascus Lockback Knife is made with a Damascus steel blade that has been tempered around 54 to 55 with 176 blade layers. A thumb notch is provided on a clip point style blade featuring the Hunt for Life™ brand. The wooden handle has a satin finish steel bolster with brass pins holding it together. On the spine you can see decorative filework that runs up onto the blade. The blade’s release is featured on the back on the handle and to complete this piece a tooled leather handmade sheath is provided.
